I'm Riding to End AIDSFrom June 1-7, 2008, I'm bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. Help me support the San Francisco AIDS Foundation by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past. I would be grateful for financial donations towards my fund raising efforts. I've pledged to raise a minimum of $2,500. But, I've decided to raise my personal goal to $3,000. Also helpful are your personal letters or emails to friends, family, and colleagues letting them know that they, too can donate to the cause. All donations are TAX DEDUCTABLE. Sincerely, Dennis ---------------------------------------------------------------------- According to UNAIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS: Currently, there are about 33.5 million people living with HIV/AIDS in the world; that's the equivalent of more than four times the population of New York City or more than eight times the population of Los Angeles. Of those people who live with AIDS, more than half are either women or children. In the last year, it is estimated that another 2.5 million people have become infected with HIV, most of them living in Sub-Saharan Africa.
