Help me to end HIV/AIDS.

From June 1-7, 2008, I'll be bicycling in the AIDS/LifeCycle #7. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money and awareness to end AIDS/HIV.  This disease is still with us after over 25 years of being diagnosed as a killer of people of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds. Significant medical gains have been made in the fight against this disease, but the battle is not over yet. I need your help to make this important fund raiser a success.

Over 3000 riders will be biking in this event. This is no easy ride. I'll be training for the coming months for this week long event. It'll take a lot of time, some incredible effort, and amazing amount of courage for all the participants. Each day the riders will be peddling approximately 80 to 100 miles and camping along the 545 miles of California coastline.  Tens of thousands of Californians throughout the state will witness this significant event first hand -- raising a renewed awareness of this battle -- and encouraging the riders to reach their goal.

I've lost a lot of friends and aquaintances to this terrible disease.  I rode the California Aids Ride #2 over 12 years ago ... Now it's time for you and me to step-up once again to raise awareness and funding to help end HIV/Aids.

You can all help to end this devastating disease by making a tax deductible donation using the link above to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.  Please give what you can and together we can make AIDS and HIV a thing of the past.
