I'm Riding to support the SFAF and to End AIDS

This June 1-7, 2008, I will be riding again in the AIDS/LifeCycle (ALC7) for the sixth time. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.

This event is about making a difference in the fight against HIV and AIDS and raising money to help organizations like the San Francisco AIDS Foundation continue to provide the critical services and education. It is about caring for those around us and providing a quality of life to those who need our help the most.

This is my 20th year as a UPS Driver and my 10th year as the regular Piedmont Driver. I have a reputation in the Piedmont and ALC Communities as someone that is very dedicated and determined when it comes to raising money for the SFAF and AIDS. I personally passed out 1000 letters last year to ask for support!

I am very proud to have been a top fundraiser for this event the last 4yrs. As a personal challenge, I raise my fundraising goal $5K every year and this year will be no differant. I raised almost $30,000 last year with the overwhelming support and generosity of so many of my customers and friends. I can only hope to do as well this year!

Help me reach my goal and support the San Francisco AIDS Foundation by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.

I've decided to dedicate this year's Ride and the money I raise to the memory of my 4yr old nephew, Brandon Phillip Wong, who passed away tragicly on January 24th 2008. Brandon was such a special little boy and had so much personality and character for someone so young. We miss him dearly, but he will always be in our hearts and memories. Go to my personal links to see a Photoshow I made in his memory.
