I'm Riding to End AIDS

AIDS LifeCycle is a 545 mile group bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles held every year over a week in June, designed to raise money for HIV research. Last year I decided to do the ride in support of a friend who had just became HIV+. It was a good experience, I felt great about doing it, and would love to repeat the experience this year in support of all the HIV+ people who have come into my life during my years here in San Francisco. If you would like to make a pledge for my riding, feel free to use this page to donate. It's a very simple process and I can think of no better cause for the gay community. Thanks!

Trism

Oh jeez! I have definitely been avoiding my dycling duties lately. It's for a good reason though!

I have been working on writing an iPhone game for the past month. I call it "Trism", and it's a puzzle game like Tetris or Bejeweled, but with an iPhone twist. If you're interested in this sort of thing, feel free to take a look at my homepage at www.demiforce.com -- I posted a gameplay video the other day.

I hope to have this done and off to iTunes within a month. Wish me luck!

Starting my training for ALC '08!

Hey, so this is my first blog entry for this year. I just wanted everybody to know that yes, I'm doing the ride again this year, and this year I'm going to be riding for all the HIV+ people who I have met here in my 3 years in San Francisco. It's a great place and I love them all and wish I could help more.

Currently I'm doing more snowboarding than cycling. It's pretty cold and wet here, and I have no intention of getting hurt or run over or whatever before the ride. So I will stay off the roads until the weather improves. One good thing though is that I've made a yearly resolution to get more cardio excercise, and I've been doing well so far by spinning! Spinning is instructor-led group excercise biking. It's held every tuesday and thursday at Gold's Gym in the SOMA, and is free for all Lifecycle members. The instructor, Steem is a really nice guy and is a member of the Funky Monkey team I will be riding with this year.

So hey, I'm off to a good start! Can't wait for June.
