Recruitment Coordinator


Reports to:  Recruitment Manager
Location: San Francisco
Status: Full Time


General Summary

The ALC Recruitment Coordinator works with the Recruitment Manager to develop and execute a cyclist recruitment strategy for Northern California and out of state regions. This position also assists the Special Events Coordinator with the production of special events, and oversees the Training Ride Leader program.

San Francisco AIDS Foundation works to ensure the HIV epidemic ends in the same city where it began.  By combining innovative, evidence-based programs for HIV prevention and care with bold policy initiatives focused on issues ranging from harm reduction to total health and wellness, the agency is making sustainable progress against HIV among populations most vulnerable to the disease.  Established in 1982, San Francisco AIDS Foundation refuses to accept that HIV transmission is inevitable. Essential Job Functions

Include but not limited to:

  1. Shares responsibility for achieving weekly and annual recruitment goals.
  2. Works under the guidance of the Recruitment Manager to develop and execute an annual marketing calendar.
  3. Manages production of the following season's marketing campaign including but not limited to week of event recruitment, management of outside vendors, internal talent at San Francisco AIDS Foundation and/or AIDS/LifeCycle.
  4. Manages production of the following season’s digital, outdoor, print and other marketing collateral.
  5. Produces periodic reports to analyze and improve effectiveness of marketing strategy.

Other Skills and Abilities:Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, and to work independently with self-direction. Management experience preferred. Marketing experience preferred. Direct knowledge of AIDS/LifeCycle or similar fundraising cycling events required. This position works evenings and weekends on a regular basis.

Must be comfortable interacting with a variety of populations including Clients and Participants of San Francisco AIDS Foundation, or be willing to learn how.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree or five years equivalent experience required. Valid CA driver’s license required.


Job Qualifications & Experience

Physical Demands

Skill in operating office equipment such as a personal computer, copy machine and telephone system. Ability to perform routine bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires staffing AIDS/LifeCycle including pre and post production duties. During the AIDS LifeCycle event in June and the days immediately before and after the event, additional responsibilities may be assigned, as necessary. These responsibilities may include administrative duties, volunteer supervision, safety monitoring, vendor relations, and/or sales supervision.

Work Environment

Market: This position is primarily located at 1035 Market Street; San Francisco, however may require traveling to other office locations or off-site meetings as required by the job.
