In less than 8 short weeks I'll be starting my 545 mile journey from San Fransisco to Los Angeles, but I still have a significant amount of money to raise. Since registering last Fall, I have logged many hundreds of miles of training with friends other riders who will be making the trip with me. I've met many people, heard many incredible stories of courage and I've seen inspirational examples of commitment and stamina. This looks like it's going be a life changing experience for me!

The new year holds many challenges for us. The writers strike is taking it's toll but it also give us some time to reflect on those much less fortunate than us. While worried about our bank accounts, others with less money and no insurance are trying to cope with chronic health issues. For most, the Center is their only resource to keep them in good health.

This month I'll be ramping up my mileage on the bike in training for the big ride and I'll be thinking about how fortunate I really am. I hope you consider supporting me in helping others.

Hi all. Well I finally made the plunge and registered for the big ride. I've already been on some training rides with other first timers, many of whom have never been on a bike before. It's very inspiring and I look forward to helping them out. I'll be planning some cool fundraising events soon with raffles and stuff. Stay tuned. -Ron
