Tent Assignment Instructions

AIDS/LifeCycle provides all tents for the Ride - NO outside tents are allowed. Two Participants will be assigned to each tent. You may select any active Participant who meets online tenting requirements as a tent mate, regardless of whether they are a Cyclist or Roadie.

At Orientation Day Check-In, you'll receive a tent chip with a letter and number that corresponds to both a location on the Tent Grid and to your specific Gear Truck you'll use all week long.

NOTE: Every Participant MUST receive a tent assignment if they plan to stay in camp or use the gear trucks (even if only for one of the seven nights.)

ONLINE TENT ASSIGNMENT

If you do not use online tent assignment, you will be assigned a tent at Check-In. Those who do not use online tent assignment will not be assured tenting with their group.

Cyclist Requirements: Cyclist must reach a minimum of $3,000 on or before May 13, 2016, in order to use Online Tenting.
Roadie Requirements: Roadies must submit their Medical Form on or before May 13, 2016, in order to use Online Tenting.

Without a Team

Intended for Participants not tenting with an AIDS/LifeCycle Team (Roadie or Cyclist).

  1. Satisfy your requirement for online tenting.
  2. Use the Online Tent Assignment link in your Participant Center to find and select your tent mate.
  3. Once your selected tent mate has met their requirement, they will be able to accept or decline your invitation in their Participant Center.
  4. Once they've confirmed, you both will receive your specific tent assignment at Check-In on Orientation Day.

With Your Team

Intended for Participants who wish to tent as part of a team.

Everyone in the group must meet the requirements for online tent assignment by May 13, 2016.

Members of the team that are unable to meet the requirement will most likely not be placed with their team on the tent grid.

  1. Team Captains mustselect a keyword and make sure all members of the group know what it is.
  2. Satisfy your requirement for online tenting by hitting your $3,000 fundraising minimum if you're a Cyclist, or, submitting your Medical Form if you're a Roadie.
  3. Use the Online Tent Assignment link in your Participant Center to find and select your tent mate.
  4. Once your selected tentmate has met their requirement for online tenting, they will be able to accept or decline your invitation in their Participant Center.
  5. Once confirmed, there will be space for each of you to enter your group code. Enter the group keyword when asked.
  6. Once completed, you and your tent mate will receive your specific tent assignment at Check-In on Orientation Day.

IN-PERSON TENT ASSIGNMENT on Orientation Day

For those Participants and groups that do not use Online Tent Assignment or do not meet the requirements by May 13, 2015.

  1. Visit the In-Person Tent Assignmentt line at Check-In on Orientation Day with your tent mate to receive your tent assignment.
  2. If your entire group needs tent assignments on Orientation Day, all members of the group must be present at the same time to receive tents next to each other.
