The Finish Line Festival

The Finish Line Festival is designed to amp up the fun and celebrate your accomplishments this past week! The Closing Ceremony will begin after the route closes at 3:30 PM, but encourage your friends and family to arrive early so that they can cheer you in to the finish line! You will then be able to enjoy music, food options, and the company of the amazing cyclists and roadies who were part of this incredible week.

We invite friends and family to come celebrate the end of the AIDS/LifeCycle 2013 journey. Be sure to arrive early so that you can cheer the cyclists in as they cross the finish line!

If you're planning on cheering in a cyclist, talk to them beforehand to get an idea of how fast they ride and when they expect to arrive at the Finish Line Festival site. The first and fastest cyclists usually ride in around 9 AM, with most cyclists coming in between 11 AM and 3 PM.

Spectator parking is available for $10 in Lot #6. The lot is about a 10 minute walk from the ceremony location, so please allow plenty of time.

We’re sorry, but pets or alcohol are not allowed at the VA Center.

Ceremony - There will be a brief ceremony shortly after the route closes at 3:30 PM. Cyclists, roadies, friends and family are all invited to celebrate the conclusion of AIDS/LifeCycle 2013.

Celebration Area - Gather together with friends, family and fellow participants! Enjoy music, food, photo ops, and other fun surprises (and don’t forget to pick up your Victory T-shirt).

Roadies - There will be a gathering of Roadies Meeting at 3 PM so that you may all participate in Closing Ceremony together. 

Bike Parking - Secure bike parking will be provided for all participating cyclists. Cyclists will not need bikes for the Closing Ceremony. If you are shipping your bike home directly from the site, you may proceed directly to the Bike Shipping area.

Bike Shipping - Bike shipping services will be available on site. If you have not yet made arrangements, please see the Bike Transportation tab in the Logistics section for the options on shipping your bike directly from the Finish Line Festival.

Gear Retrieval Area - The Gear Retrieval Area will be open at 1:00 p.m.

Transportation – The Closing Ceremony will be over at approximately 4:00PM. If cyclists have not shipped their bikes prior to the Ceremony, it could take up to an hour for cyclists to ship their bikes and pick up their gear bags. If you are having a shuttle service pick you up at the VA Center, it is advisable to book it no earlier than 5PM. 

Roadrunner Shuttle and Limousine Service
If you need transportation out of the Finish Line Festival, AIDS/LifeCycle has contracted with Roadrunner Shuttle and Limousine Service to assist you.  At the Finish Line Festival, Roadrunner Shuttle and Limousine Service will be staged at the Shuttle / Taxi line near the Gear Retrieval Lot. Once you have collected your bags, please go to the Shuttle / Taxi line to check in with the Roadrunner Representative.

Check out their website for shared van, individual town car & exclusive van service pricing. Once on the event, if you are utilizing Roadrunner’s service or need to make a reservation, please visit their booth in Camp 5 from 3PM- 7PM OR at Camp 6 from 3PM - 7PM(located near the Info Services Tent) to confirm your reservation. This should help facilitate your transportation at the Closing Ceremony.  Remember: if you wait to make your reservations at Closing Ceremony, they may not be able to accommodate you.

PLEASE NOTE: Roadrunner Shuttle will give priority to participants with a reservation. If you have not made your reservations prior to the Finish Line Festival, Roadrunner Shuttle CANNOT guarantee you a seat. Additionally, you must be on time for your reservation – Roadrunner cannot guarantee a departure time other than what you have booked.  Again, it is highly recommended you make your reservations BEFORE getting to the Finish Line Festival!

If you are using Taxi Cabs or a shuttle service other than the Roadrunner Shuttle service, provide them with this address for pick up:

All taxi cabs and shuttles entering the VA will be directed to the Shuttle / Taxi Line near the Gear Retrieval Lot. Please be advised that it is very difficult to call cabs to the VA. ALC has tried this for a number of years with no success. It is recommended you contact Roadrunner Shuttle and Limousine Service for your transportation needs or other pre-arranged shuttle service.

The closest airports to the Finish Line Festival are either LAX or Burbank.
