Roadie Fundraising and Incentives
Although Roadies are not required to fundraise, we encourage
everyone to give it a try. After all, it is the reason that we are doing this
event. Fundraising can be an intimidating venture but with a few tips you will
be on your way to reaching your goal. Please review the following suggestions
and overview of the fundraising process for Roadies.
Fundamentals
- Memorize
a few key facts about your local beneficiary and some of the work they do.
- Familiarize
yourself with the current state of the AIDS pandemic, particularly in your
community.
- Be
prepared. Always carry your AIDS/LifeCycle donation forms, pledge letters,
and pre-addressed envelopes.
- You
never know. A donation could come from anyone, anywhere, anytime.
- Talk,
talk, talk. Tell everyone you know that you are raising funds for
AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bicycle ride designed to aid programs for
people with HIV and AIDS.
