Dear Cyclist, Roadie, Visitor or Friend,

In 1995 I rode the Boston to New York AIDS Ride with 3400 of my closest friends.  It was an incredibly impowering event for me and within three months I had quit my job of ten years and started working on the Rides fulltime.  Since then I have worked on 26 rides around the country.  I was the Logistics Director for the Philadelphia to DC Ride, the Florida Ride and the Ride Director for the Red Ribbon Rides (AKA Walgreens Red Ribbon Rides) and the Sunshine Ride for Children.  I have also been doing fundraising for over 20 years (yes I must have been a child).

I moved to California from Fort Lauderdale to be the Director of the AIDS/LifeCycle and I am thrilled to be on this team with this wonderful staff.  I have gotten to know all of them through volunteering on the past ALC rides 2-6.  If this is your first Ride, congratulations!  I hope AIDS/LifeCycle 8 changes your life the way these events have changed and improved mine.

All the best,

Michael

About me...

I'm Working to End AIDS

What an amazing group of Cyclists, Roadies, volunteers and staff help raise $12.3 million for the HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment programs of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.  Special kudos to the Cyclists and the TRL's for an exceptionally safe ride.  More thanks to the Roadies for a very smooth event and for the largest amount ever raised by Roadies. As the offices in both SF and LA get set for ALC 8 please know how grateful we are to everyone who helped make ALC 7 such a success.

For those who are registered for ALC 8 congratulations! For those who are thinking about it, hurry up, we will be closing early again this year.
