SFAF at Work - The Stonewall Project

Posted November 18, 2011

When someone comes to San Francisco AIDS Foundation seeking help managing their substance use, we are able to offer an array of services for them through The Stonewall Project.  The Stonewall Project is dedicated to providing innovative harm-reduction-based services for gay, trans and other men who have sex with men (MSM) who use alcohol and/or drugs.

Sometimes the need for services exceeds our capacity, and we must place people on a waiting list to receive one-on-one counseling services.

Fortunately, the foundation is able to offer additional drop-in and group counseling services for many of the men.  These groups play a valuable role in helping guys achieve their goals.

But our ultimate goal is to get rid of our waiting list altogether so men can get individual expert counseling if that’s what their seeking.  When you support San Francisco AIDS Foundation, you move us closer to the day when waiting lists are no longer necessary.  We thank you.  Our clients thank you.
