Welcome to ALC 11! I am honored to be your Rep this year and I’m thrilled to be experiencing The Ride with you! I’ll be updating my ALC Staff page with my top ten fundraisers and other information.
I couldn’t be more excited for the Ride this year as I know it will be an incredible and unforgettable event. I’m always excited to meet new Riders and to get reconnected with friends I’ve made from past Rides. I’ve never met better people than those involved with ALC. Maybe it’s because I know you give so much of yourselves, working your tail off fundraising and wearing it out training, all to help others and save the lives of people you probably don’t even know. It’s pretty easy to love a hero!
You’ll be getting lots of rewards for all your hard work. There’s a great feeling of accomplishment after completing a tough training ride, and nothing will warm your heart or restore your faith in humanity more than receiving a donation from a friend or family member, and very often, from someone you’d never expect would care so much. All the while, you’ll know that YOU are making the world a better, safer place for so many people! Yup! You’re pretty special!
I want to thank you for joining us for ALC 11! As one ALC veteran said “it’s a once in a lifetime experience I do every year!” (?) I know what she means though. This will be my eighth ride, and for me, each one is still full of joy and a special magical something that I can’t find anywhere else. I look forward to sharing in this magic with you in June!
I really encourage you to jump right in and get started by letting everyone you talk to know what you’re doing. They’ll be amazed and inspired and they may just offer a donation without even being asked! Personalize your home page and send that first fundraising letter or email. Check out our ALC Calendar to find a training ride or other ALC event. If you need help getting started with anything, give me a call or send me an email. I think you’re pretty awesome for doing this and I’d love to have the opportunity to help you along!
ALC Love,
Your Rep Russ
