Come to Columbus, TX for a day of climbing the rolling hills between Columbus and Fayetteville! First loop of 44 miles has 1921 ft of climbing. The second loop of 19 miles has 526 ft of climbing. Roads are mostly rural roads with little traffic. The exception is FM 109, which has moderate traffic. Ride start has plumbed rest rooms but no other facilities. On the first route, the rest stop in Fayetteville features a general store and a couple of restaurants. Ice cream and peach cobbler are available! This is the only rest stop on this route, so be prepared with plenty of bike food and 2 water bottles so you are well supplied for the distance. The second loop has no rest stops. Both loops start and end at Beason’s Crossing Park.
