Welcome to the Saturday East Bay training series! This series is designed as slow ramp-up starter series for new riders but welcomes riders at all skill levels, including those who haven’t ridden a bike in years and those who may be recovering from injuries.

This week’s route is a giant loop which includes roads both well-traveled and brand new this season. We start with a familiar climb up Wildcat Canyon but then we descend Spruce and work our way through Kensington and El Cerrito (with views of the Bay), until our first rest stop in El Sobrante. Then it’s a return to the familiar roads of Pinole and Hercules and on to Crockett and the enjoyable Carquinez Trail taking us to Martinez, our second rest stop. From Martinez we head to Walnut Creek for our lunch stop and then it’s on to Lafayette and Moraga before heading back to Orinda.

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.

If you are interested in attending, please be sure to RSVP. Have questions? Contact the Wildcats Facilitator at
