Houston-Area ALC Training Series

Take a ride to historic San Felipe, TX! We’ll ride from Brookshire out to San Felipe and back for the 28-mile loop. Just south the Brazos River, we’ll pass the San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site, which has artifacts and structures depicting life at the time when Texas was a stand-alone republic. Those who want to ride extra miles can do the 15-mile second loop, which heads south of Brookshire to the Pecan Hill neighborhood. Roads are mostly moderately traveled Farm-to-Market roads with a shoulder. A minority of the roads are rural roads with light traffic. Terrain is primarily flat. Ride will be rescheduled in the event of rain.

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!
