Houston-Area ALC Training Series

Welcome to Ft. Bend County, where you will find the flattest roads in this part of Texas! Of course, flat farmland can result in a pretty stiff headwind, so be prepared! First route of 29 miles and 82 ft of ascent heads southwest of Orchard to Beasley and Taverner. It has one rest stop about midway in the route. Second route of 16.7 miles and 64 ft of ascent heads west of Orchard to Wallis. Both routes are a mix of rural roads with low traffic and state highways with wide shoulders and moderate, high speed traffic. On both routes, you will have to cross the state highways at several points as well as ride on them. Ride will be rescheduled in the event of rain.

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!
