Houston-Area ALC Training Series
Ride hard and climb high on our final ride for the ALC 2022 Training Season! We’ll start in the little town of Chappell Hill and ride through Washington County. Primary route is 74 miles with 3,761 ft of climbing! It has 3 rest stops: Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park, Independence, and Brenham. Road are mostly FM roads and county roads with little traffic. Parts of the route are on TX 105. Route is full of rolling hills, some with steep climbs, including the last 7-mile climb into Chappell Hill. This is about the best simulation of an ALC ride that you can get in this part of Texas! Riders who want a shorter route can turn back at Independence, resulting in a 58-mile ride and 2,866 ft of climbing. SAG support is planned.
