We are a group of cyclists who enjoy cycling the roads of Southern California, primarily Orange County. Members also train for the AIDS/LifeCycle (545 mile ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for AIDS services in California). We are a welcoming group focused on training and comradery. Join us in Orange County for a training ride!
This is WK 03 of the 2024 training season and we’ll increase our standard route to 18 miles and our advanced route will be 35 miles. Both routes will do a pit stop at Dunkin Donuts/Stater Bros in Tustin just off of Tustin Ranch Road. From there the standard route will continue west for a short time, up to Edinger, back to Jeffrey and then back to the cars.
The advanced route will leave the standard route after the pit and head north to Irvine Blvd via the Mountains to the Sea trail before making their way east to Alton to Irvine Spectrum and a second pit stop at Irvine Center Drive and Research Drive. From there it will be back to the cars along the San Diego Creek trail.
The standard ride is for those who haven’t ridden long distances previously with the intention of working up to being able to do the ALC ride with confidence.
The advanced route is for those looking for a bit more of a challenge.
The standard route is at:https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45306651/
The advanced route is at:https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45306816/
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!
