Welcome to the Marin Marauder’s Progressive Sunday Rides Training Series. The Spring Fling Progressive rides are designed to get you ready for the epic Big ride in June. We start off with smaller rides and build each week until you are riding over 100 miles a day and climbing like a pro. If you take part in this series you will most certainly be ready for ALC 2025. Not only are the rides epic, but the scenery and the people are too. We are a warm and welcoming group of cyclist of all ages and shapes. All AIDS/LifeCycle official training rides are an inclusive and safe space welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace.
This is a new route for the Marauders. For our century ride this year, we will leave Hal Brown and head to Santa Rosa via White Hill, Nicasio, Cheese and Red Hill. Once those hills are out of the way, the rest of the day is mostly rolling hills. In downtown Santa Rosa we will have lunch at the Santa Rosa Cafe and then head back through Novato and China Camp. The total miles is 103 with about 10 miles that can be shaved off if its a tad too much. At this point in the training, I would say most are ready for it!
The route is at: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/49133570/
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations.
Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP so we have an idea of who’s coming. Have questions? Contact Ken and Temo at marinmarauders@gmail.com
REQUIRED ITEMS: bike, helmet, water bottle(s), tire changing tools.
Parking: The rangers have politely asked us to NOT park directly in front of the park. Rather park further down Bon Air Road or on the opposite side of the street from the Park. By doing so, we will give greater access to the park by other patrons
