The Marin Marauders is an AIDS Lifecycle training group based in Marin County, offering training rides to prepare cyclists for the AIDS Lifecycle 2019. If you live in Marin, this group is perfect for you. If you live in San Francisco, avoid the fog and crowds of the Golden Gate Bridge, and join the group that starts in beautiful and sunny (mostly!) Marin. We meet at the park opposite Marin General Hospital on Bon Air Road in Greenbrae, and ride on Sunday. The series (from January to May) will start off slow and easy – and each week we add on a few miles and learn a few new techniques. All AIDS/LifeCycle official training rides are an inclusive and safe space welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace.

Our twelfth ride in the series takes us to Petaluma for lunch, and home via Novato. We head out over familiar territory out to Fairfax, taking a right after Whites Hill to stop at Rancho Nicasio. Heading on past the Nicasio Reservoir, we’ll take a right at the Petaluma Point Reyes Road and head up to the Marin Cheese Factory for a second quick rest and regroup. Leaving the Cheese factory, we chart new ground, taking a left at Hicks Valley Road and tackling challenging Wilson’s Hill (everyone’s favorite!), enjoy the spectacular view from the top, and the ensuing decent. We will have lunch in Petaluma, and enjoy a route back to Novato using bike paths where possible. Our last stop will be in Novato, then through San Rafael, which will take us home back to Hal Brown Park.

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
