The James Ernst Tribute – Social Ride
26 Miles or 56 Miles, Rolling Hills
Meet: 8:00 AM
Ride-Out: 8:30 AM
Heavy Rain Cancels – but hey we are in a drought so sadly that won’t happen
The Marin Marauders social rides are designed to bring together fellow cycling enthusiast for fun and sometimes challenging rides. Our rides between July and October are social only and are NOT at all part of the AIDS Lifecycle Training rides. Think of them as friends riding with friends!
The rides are ideal for you regardless of your cycling skillset. The rides will have a shorter option and a longer option! All the Marin Marauder social and training rides are an inclusive and safe space welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace. We meet at the park opposite Marin General Hospital on Bon Air Road in Greenbrae, and ride on Sundays.
Our second social ride of the year will pay respect to James Ernst, a fellow Marauder and ALCer. James’s compassion and zest for life is the theme of this ride. We will leave Hal Brown and enjoy a scenic 34 mile Tib Loop. If you want to add on some more miles (and climbs) you can add on Lucas Valley Road Counterclockwise for a great 57 miles. The base route is at: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26545469
. The longer route is: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/36615514
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. Safety is a key concern and we will follow biking laws and regulations as well as county COVID regulations. It is the responsibility of each rider to know and adhere to COVID protocols for the counties we are riding in. Let’s all be safe and have a great bike ride. That’s a win!
Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
