Palm Springs: 41 Miles Hosted by Desert Roadrunners

November 13, 2022 @ 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

Climb the 74

41 Miles, Rolling Hills & a few steep climbs

Ride ID 2526

Meet: 7:30 AM

Ride-Out: 8:00 AM

Rain Cancels

We’ll meet at Townie at 7:30 am (now that we have early morning sun again), ride out at 8. We’ll head down valley on the 111, then peel off at El Paseo to climb the 74. The 41 mile route climbs the entire 4.5 miles up the 74. If you’re not quite ready to tackle that long hill, you can turn about half way up on Mesa View Dr for a 2 mile climb and 37 mile ride. This is the time in our training where flat routes are a thing of the past……it’s all climbing from here……and there’s no better time to start building that climbing butt than right now! After a water stop at the top of the hill, we’ll zoom back down and across town to our favorite Starbucks on Technology Drive. Then, it’s a return home via Perez, Cree and the water park bike path (caution CV Link construction at the exit).

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
