48 or 74 Miles, Rolling hills and a some climbs
Meet: 7:30 AM
Ride-Out: 8:00 AM
Rain Cancels
Two mileages: 48 or 74 miles, up to 2146′ of climbing. Meet at Townie Bagels at 7:30 am PT, ride out at 8 am. The longer mileage option is to help those doing Tour de Palm Springs in early February get ready for those long miles. The route circles around the north end of town before heading east on Ramon/Washington. After a Pit at Starbucks at Desert Cities, we’ll circle around Jefferson & Miles back to Starbucks at Technology Dr. We’ll finish the short route via Gerald Ford & Dinah Shore, then back home. The long route cuts up Crossley from Dinah Shore, then the CV Link up to Gene Autry, across the wash, a Pit at Subway, then a loop of Pierson, Worsley, Gantt, & Indian Canyon back into town. ALL RIDERS should be able to comfortably complete the 48 mile route since there’s not many hills to climb. And this is a “tempo” ride, meaning a focus on speed, so challenge yourself to go faster! If you are not ready for this 48, you are not training enough, so focus on mid-week training. It will be chilly, so dress appropriately.
