The ride will meet at the Crystal Springs Picnic Area in Griffith Park, which is the usual meeting place for Chain Gain rides. It will proceed north out of the park to Verdugo Road into Montrose for a brief rest stop. We’ll climb “hospital hill” and then down past Descanso Gardens before continuing east through Altadena and Sierra Madre where there will be a bagel stop at Goldstein’s Bagel Bakery. We’ll then head back west to Garfield Park in South Pasadena and across Highland Park. There will be a climb over Adams Hill into Glendale and we’ll then cross the North Atwater bridge from North Atwater Park onto the LA River Bike Path.
The ride will conclude by re-entering Griffith Park on Crystal Springs Drive where we’ll pass the location where the crash happened.
