18 Miles OR 42 miles, Mostly Flat/Rolling Hills with a Few Steep Climbs
Meet Time: 8:00am
Ride-Out Time: 8:30am
Come on out for a post-ALC Kick Off Ride at CycleBar Culver City!
Fill up your water bottles and take a tour of CYCLEBAR before we head out for a great ride down to the beach via Ballona Creek Bike Path. We’ll re-group at the bridge before we continue to do a lap up Westchester Parkway in Playa Del Rey. We have a quick water stop at Flowers by Felicia Coffee House before heading back.
For those of you who want more miles the longer route will continue to Palos Verdes for a spin around the PV Golf Course. Expect a few nice hills on this route. These are great rides to start your training as you continue to build a foundation from your beginning rides to your advanced rides. Your TRL’s will be there every step of the way!
Check out Cyclebar Culver City and see how adding indoor cycling will benefit your training program for ALC. NO STOP LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS! Great for rainy days too! Special discount packages available to Shifting Gears and ALC participants. www.cyclebar.com/location/culver-city
Training Ride Leaders: Beth Brown, Doreen Gonzales, Stanley Appleman, Randy Cowan
