34 Miles, Mostly Flat
Meet Time: 9:00 am
Ride-Out Time: 9:30 am
Heavy Rain Cancels
Level: Beginner
Come join us on a beautiful 34 mile, mostly flat, with one small climb, ride. We will cruise up the coast from Mission Park in Ventura to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Carpinteria, and back.
This ride is perfect for beginners and for those experienced riders who need to dust off their butts and bikes to get ready for ALC 2020.
When you ride in the 805, well Ventura area, there are minimal stops, and its mostly just riding along and enjoying the day. You will get an opportunity to try out your gears and your climbing legs on a short hill, but it’s totally manageable, especially when the view is so delicious.
And then coffee, am I right?!?
When you ride in the 805 we ask that you arrive on time, giving yourself ample time to pump your tires, hug your friends, and then fully participate in the Safety Pillars presentation. We aim to ride out on time!!
Parking will be on Santa Clara or in the VC Museum parking lot. Just be sure to park in marked spaces only. There will be other riders who will not be associated with ALC so look for your 805 TRLs in our orange jerseys/windbreakers.
