AWESOME AHEAD Season 10 Ride #4 – Wide Open Spaces One of the certainties about riding a bicycle from San Francisco to Los Angeles is climbing. It’s not always straight up and straight down – it’s often what we call “rollers” – or small hills that over the span of the day – certainly add up. Today we’ll ride up into some of the most beautiful open space preserves in the Bay Area – Arastradero Preserve and the Windy Hill Preserve off of Alpine Road. With 1600 feet of climbing over 31 miles – you should totally be able to do this ride with no issues at this point in the training season. The TRL’s will be there to remind you to hydrate and eat your way to success. Some of the south bay’s trademark routes are included in this early season favorite.
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!
