Houston-Area ALC Training Rides
You’re in Texas, so it’s time to ride some spurs! This ride has two out-and-back “spurs” starting at the Brookshire City Office. The first one is 28 miles and the second is either 15 or 18 miles. Both “spurs” are primarily on FM roads with light to moderate traffic but good shoulders. Routes are mostly flat, with just a couple of small rises about 3% or so. Riders should be able to ride at least 28 miles. Convenience stores will be our rest stops. There are no facilities at ride start; use one of the service stations at the exit off I-10 before proceeding to the ride start. There is no RideWithGPS link at this time.
All AIDS/LifeCycle official training rides are an inclusive and safe space welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace.
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride and meet some cool people. That’s a win!
