I'm riding to help people live longer with HIV/AIDS.

This will be the 3rd year in a row for me riding in the AIDS/Lifecycle and most likely my last.  You see, in 1996 I was diagnosed with AIDS and told I had maybe 2 - 3 years to live.  Thanks to great advancement in HIV medication my HIV viral load level is extremely low.  I will be starting school June 9, 2008 in an attempt to get back into the job market.

From June 1-7, 2008, I will be bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle 7.  It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV / AIDS like me. :-)

Please help me support the HIV / AIDS related services of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center by giving what you can.

We'll They will keep riding until HIV / AIDS are a thing of the past.  I may ride again, but i do have to get back to trying to live a productive tax paying life. :-)

P.S. Don't forget to ask your employer / human resorce department if they offer a matching gift program.  This could double your donation!

Thank you.. we did it.. $2,500

Im back from the alc7 ride.

Wow.. what a great ride.. 2500 riders and 500 roadies.  And with your help we raised 11.6 million dollars for the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center and the San Francisco Aids Foundation.  Both agencies help folks with hiv and aids. Thank you very much.  Lots of love.  Eddie Brown

I sit here in total gratitued that im healthy today due to the great advancement in hiv medication.  Well i better get up and stop sitting .. cause that is going to be all i will be doing for the next seven days.. ;-)  Lots of Love  Eddie Brown

Hmmm  So its back to training for the aidslifecycle ride.  I will start to pack things this week to make sure im prepared when my friend Ray gives me a ride to San Francisco to start the ride.  Thats it for now. Lots of love. Eddie Brown

I just rode 80 miles..

Saturday April 19 I rode 80 miles for a training ride.  The event was called Day on the Ride.  It simulated what it would be like on the aidslifecycle ride.  There were @ 400 riders and we all started out @ 7am and rode either 40 miles or 80 miles.  There were lots of hills to test our climbing abilitys as well as our stamina for the long milage.  Over all it took me @ 8hrs with a lunch break.  I had a geat time and got a little sun burned.  I am so excited to get started on the actual ride in June.  Thats it for now. Lots of love.  Eddie Brown

AIDS Lifecycle ride 7 training..

Ok so im off to a slow start on trainging for alc7.  I have been doing marathons and have been running instead of riding.  I have only done a few group training rides, and one of them i got a flat.. yuck.

So today is friday, april 11 and i just finished a 20 mile ride.  It was a nice ride into griffith park.  No flats, and the bike seems to be running ok.  I look forward to getting some major training rides in, in the next few weeks.  Thank you to all the folks whom have sponcered me for this ride and the past 2 alc rides.  I just cry every time i see the videos of the rides.  Im sure alc7 will be just as emotional for me.
