AIDS Lifecycle - Ride to end AIDS

Expert Nutrition and Hydration advice for endurance cyclists. Learn more

By law, you must ride as far to the right as safely possible. For AIDS/LifeCycle rides, and on the event itself, this means never riding two abreast. Doing so may put the rider on the left into the lane of traffic and therefore in the path of cars, trucks, etc. The rider on the right may not have room to maneuver should they encounter an obstacle in the road. Plus, riding side by side makes it more difficult and dangerous (and just plain annoying!) for other cyclists and vehicles to pass you. So ride single file and help make our rides safe and comfortable for everyone concerned!
