Rain Cancels

Welcome to the Sunday Orinda Ride Series. We are an all-pace/all-skill training program. We invite everyone – from novice to speedy – to join us. This years series is a late start/shortened training season, which means we will increase mileage just a little faster in the beginning to get caught up with everyone else.

The 15th week is our most-challenging ride of the season as we will climb Mt. Diablo on the north side. We’ll get there by climbing Pleasant Hill Road on our way to our first rest stop. From there, we’ll head up Mt. Diablo to our next rest stop at the “Y”. If you’re up for more, climb to the summit. If not, descend the south side (the 80-mile option). Everyone will circle around to Danville for lunch. We’ll take our usual route back toward Lafayette (the 60/69 mile options) but will take the long way home. Your final break is a supported rest stop in Briones Park on your way to climb Pig Farm Hill, Castro Ranch, and San Pablo Dam. Wow! It is truly a whopper of a training ride. NOTE: If there is a chance of rain, the route will be changed.

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have route alternatives during the ride. You will have a great bike ride!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
