Meet: 8:00 AM
Ride-Out: 8:30 AM
Rain Cancels
We are a group of cyclists who enjoy cycling the roads of Southern California, primarily Orange County. Members also train for the AIDS/LifeCycle (545 mile ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise money for AIDS services in California). We are a welcoming group focused on training and comradery. Join us in Orange County for a training ride!
We’ll have a standard route of 14 miles and an advanced route of 30 miles and this will be our first set of training rides for ALC 2024. The standard ride is especially good for those who haven’t been on their bike for a while. It is 14 miles and pretty much all flat with a couple of short climbs. We’ll leave from the Carl’s Jr. parking lot at Michelson and Culver in Irvine and ride through parts of Tustin and Irvine before coming back to the cars.
For the Advanced route we’ll leave from the Carl’s Jr. parking lot at Michelson and Culver in Irvine and ride to CJ’s Coffee in the city of Orange. We’ll make our way to Jamboree road for a nice climb to CJs and then meander around a bit to come down Jeffery and back to the cars. This ride adds up to a little over 30 miles.
The standard route is at:https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45050585/
The advanced route is at:https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45034340/
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!
