Chain Gang Send-Off Ride, Potluck And Packing Clinic
11 Miles, Mostly Flast
Meet: 8:00 AM
Ride-Out: 8:30 AM
Rain Cancels
With just one week to go before ALC, it’s time to taper off your training and Chain Gang have the perfect ride for you!
Join us for our final ride of this training season with either one or two trips around the Studio Loop, a nice easy ride where you can just spin out your legs, and a brief safety clinic to review all the skills and safety rules for ALC.
We return to our starting point in Merry Go Round Parking Lot 3 and gather at the picnic tables on the grass just down the hill for the traditional Pre-ALC Potluck Picnic and our famous Packing Clinic, hosted by TRL Extraordinaire Tony Zamudio and Chris E. We will answer all your last minute questions and concerns, and share all the tips and tricks we have learned over many years to make your ALC experience a fun, safe and happy one.
Riders, roadies, and family are welcome to join us just for the packing clinic and potluck (even without the ride) – simply RSVP (so we know how many folks to plan for), and bring a dish to share! We will have a celebratory cake to share with everyone, and look forward to seeing you all there!
PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW MEETING PLACE: due to some recent safety issues at Crystal Springs, we will be meeting at the Merry Go Round Lot 3 instead – instead of turning off Crystal Springs towards the ranger station, go up the hill on the fire road towards the Merry Go Round instead. At the top, go through the first parking lot to get to Lot 2, and then down a little to reach Lot 3.
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!
Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP so we have an idea of who’s coming. Have questions? Contact Chris Eisenberg at onebaloo@hotmail.com
REQUIRED ITEMS: bike, helmet, water bottle(s), tire changing tools
If you experience problems with the RSVP button, please email the RSVP to onebaloo@hotmail.com
