NorCal: East Bay 29 Miles Hosted By The Wildcats!
February 22, 2020
@ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pinehurst Grizzly Wildcat
28.6 Miles, Rolling Hills & Steep Climbs
Meet: 8:00 AM
Ride-Out: 8:30 AM
Rain Cancels
This series is designed as slow ramp-up starter series for new riders. The East Bay Wildcats welcome riders at all skill levels, including those who haven’t ridden a bike in years and those who may be recovering from injuries.
This week’s mileage might be shorter but we will be doing more climbing in less miles than we have up to this point. This week we will also get to descend our namesake, Wildcat Canyon. From Orinda we head to Moraga and then take Canyon Road to Upper Pinehurst where it will join Skyline. Shortly after a brief stop at Sibley Reserve we leave Skyline and ride the ups and downs of Grizzly Peak. Weather permitting, there are some fantastic views of the Bay (aka great fundraising photo ops). We follow Grizzly Peak almost to it’s end before we start our descent on Wildcat Canyon. At the base of Wildcat we re-join Camino Pablo and return to Orinda BART.
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. You can’t lose!
