The Annual BBQ Ride – Social Ride 3
Meet: 9:00 AM
Ride-Out: 9:30 AM
Heavy Rain Cancels – but hey we are in a drought so sadly that won’t happen
The Marin Marauders social rides are designed to bring together fellow cycling enthusiast for fun and sometimes challenging rides. Our rides between July and October are social only and are NOT at all part of the AIDS Lifecycle Training rides. Think of them as friends riding with friends!
The rides are ideal for you regardless of your cycling skillset. The rides will have a shorter option and a longer option! All the Marin Marauder social and training rides are an inclusive and safe space welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace. We meet at the park opposite Marin General Hospital on Bon Air Road in Greenbrae, and ride on Sundays.
Our third ride is a super special event as it is not only a ride but also the ANNUAL Marin Marauder BBQ. Yes.. Its back!! We will be riding out at 9:30 instead of 8:30 for this ride. From Hal Brown we will head over White Hill for the first of many times this year. From there cyclist will meander along some beautiful country roads to Samuel P. Taylor Park. Upon arriving at the “Magic Tree” you will be served a lunch of BBQ Chicken, Cheeseburgers and other goodies (Vegan options will be available). After lunch and some laughs cyclists will ride back to Hal Brown. You MUST RSVP
for this ride as we need a headcount for food. You are also welcome to drive to the park. Each car will have to pay an entrance fee of $8.00. Cyclists are free. There is no cost, but donations to the Marauders are always accepted! This is one you don’t want to miss! The route is: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/36615635
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. Safety is a key concern and we will follow biking laws and regulations as well as county COVID regulations. It is the responsibility of each rider to know and adhere to COVID protocols for the counties we are riding in. Let’s all be safe and have a great bike ride. That’s a win!
Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
If you have questions or are interested in attending, please try to RSVP to Ken and Ron at email@example.com
