Skills, Hills, Tires And More – Indoor Clinic to Learn the Basics
With heavy rain forecast for Saturday, join the Chain Gang for a fun and informative INDOOR workshop instead, and learn about all the basic skills and drills for riding, climbing, descending – plus a master class in changing tires by the Master Tire Changer himself, Mel Embree! TRL David has generously arranged for a comfortable meeting room at his building near Griffith Park, so we can gather in a nice warm room (with coffee and snacks!). We will go over the How-To of all the basic bike skills in detail with plenty of time for lots of questions, followed by a hands-on tire changing demonstration where you will get to practice on your own tire! We will have a trainer set up so you can practice clipping in and out, and we can help you check your pedaling form and position to help you feel more comfortable on your bike. Please bring your bike (or just one of your wheels for the tire clinic), and ALL of your questions – the perfect use for a rainy morning! Please RSVP to get the address.
