Welcome to the South Bay Blaze training rides, a carefully-crafted route series designed to build your strength, safety, and confidence before the ride in June. These winter/spring series rides are a great way for you to train and become ‘road-ready’ without being left behind. Each week’s route includes an increase in climbing with an uptick in mileage as well, and are proven perfect for strength building and endurance. The rides in this series are posted as “all pace levels welcome.” All AIDS/LifeCycle official training rides are inclusive and safe spaces welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace. Bring along some snack cash for the route and lunch money for a lunch stop or at the Country Gourmet across the street once everyone gets back.
All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!

REQUIRED ITEMS: bike, helmet, water bottle(s), tire changing tools, and a mask.
COVID-19 Policy: Vaccination is required to participate. All participants must have received one Johnson & Johnson dose or the second Pfizer/Moderna dose at least two weeks before the Training Ride. Masks are required when 6’ of social distancing cannot be maintained. This includes rest stops, indoors and in vehicles with more than one person.RSVP
