Eyan writes, “Man, choosing just one is hard but I would definitely dedicate my next $1k to Pierre-Cédric Crouch and his team at Magnet, watching all the hard work that they do and the programs that come out of it is truly amazing. Growing up in Texas the mere thought of a safe place to go to that provided sexual health services for a gay man was such a foreign concept to me, much less one that provided them for free. I remember moving out to San Francisco without any health insurance and stressing out about where I would be able to go to afford my regular HIV screenings. Finding Magnet, where I could get this done and more, as well as being able to talk to openly to the staff without judgement was such a lifesaver. I now have the privilege of seeing Pierre’s posts demonstrating the true passion that he and his team has for helping those living with HIV and STDS, as well as preventing others from contracting them. They are true heroes and definitely do not get the recognition they deserve, I hope raising $1000 in their honor will at least be a start.”
