June 1 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Are you feeling the mix of excitement and nerves for Orientation Day?! We’ve got you covered! Let’s walk through what to expect so you arrive at the Cow Palace confident and ready for AIDS/LifeCycle 2024! Check out the Orientation Day schedule below along with all of the other exciting things we have in store for you!

Before you start packing, ensure you’ve logged into your MyRide Portal and completed all mandatory pre-Ride tasks, including the Online Participant Orientation Course, Participant Release & Waiver, Medical Profile, and Tenting Survey.

All tasks should be completed before you arrive to check in on June 1st at the Cow Palace.

Orientation Day Schedule:

9:00 AM:  Bike parking opens. If you need to drop off your bike, you must do so BEFORE entering the Cow Palace. Check in with Staff in the South Hall to drop off your bike and then get in line outside the main lobby to enter the Cow Palace for Check-in.

10:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Check-in opens at 10 am and will close at 3 pm. You can come anytime within this window.

11:00 AM: Roadie Captains Meeting If you’re a Roadie Captain, plan your arrival to attend this important meeting.

12:00 PM: The Mainstage Address. Meet our NEW Camp Stage host, Sister Roma, Ride Director Cailin Corbett, and Community Engagement Director Albert Ontiveros as we honor and recognize our community’s lifetime members who have made significant contributions over the years.

1:00 PM: BIPOC group photo on stage.

1:30 PM: All Roadie Meeting: If you’re joining us as a Roadie this year, you must be on-site and finished with Check-In before 1:30 p.m. so you can attend this mandatory meeting. Here, you’ll meet key Production Staff and be introduced to the rest of your team.

3:00 PM: Orientation day concludes. If you can’t attend Orientation Day, please contact your Community Engagement Rep. today to arrange alternative plans.*

Some extras to look forward to:

Camp Store: Did you forget to pack a warm hoodie? No worries, we’ve got you covered! Oh no! You didn’t pack enough socks! Never fear; we have those, too! Stop by the Camp Store during Orientation Day and throughout the week in Camp. Pick up this year’s commemorative jersey, t-shirt, hoodie, stickers, and so much more!  Make sure you leave some room in your luggage for all the cute things you’re going to want to take home with you!

Donation Drop-Off and Incentive Pick-up: Are those fundraising dollars still rolling in? If so, drop off any additional donations with our Donor Services Team. Then, stop by the incentives booth to pick up any remaining thank-you gifts you’ve earned.

Say cheese! Take tons of photos, share them with your friends and family, and tag us @aidslifecycle!

Say Hi to our Sponsors: Our sponsors help underwrite part of our production costs by donating goods for the Ride. They’ll be on-site and would love to meet each and every one of you, so make sure you say hi and grab a selfie with them!

Orientation Day is filled with fun, excitement, and, of course, photo ops! The energy will be electric as you reconnect with friends and welcome newcomers embarking on this journey for the first time. Whether you’re a seasoned Rider, Roadie, or a first-time Participant, we’re here to help. Don’t hesitate to contact your Community Engagement Rep. with any questions. Let’s make Orientation Day a great start to an amazing Ride!
