Rain Cancels

Mid March is traditionally our long PCH ride from CrossCreek to Oxnard and back, to build up some nice long miles with steady pedaling to prepare for our Paul Hulse century in April. Since PCH has a lot of rain damage after recent storms and has multiple sections with very little shoulder, it is not a safe route at the moment so we found you some different creeks to cross! Join the Chain Gang at Encanto Park in Duarte for another trip down the San Gabriel River path, all the way to Seal Beach with a lunch stop at Whole Foods (but without the Northern loop we usually start with). Lots of steady pedaling with almost no cars to worry about, some pretty scenery along the way, and several options for pitstops along the route.

Want to ride with us but don’t have time for the full route? You can easily turn this into a shorter route by turning around at the golf course pitstop (just under 30 miles round trip) or at Wilderness Park (around 42 miles roundtrip). It’s a fun ride whatever distance you choose, and great training without cars to deal with. Make sure you bring spare tubes in case of a flat! We will have plenty of ride leaders to support and keep you company, and we look forward to riding with you!”

The route is at:https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45763439/

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
