Los Angeles: 22 Miles Hosted by the Chain Gang

November 18, 2023 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Chain Gang Loops The Studios And Brand Library

22 Miles, Mostly flat with some rolling hills

Meet: 8:00 AM

Ride-Out: 8:30 AM

Heavy Rain Cancels

Join Chain Gang for our first official ride of the ALC training season, an easy spin through Griffith Park, the Burbank Studios, the Brand Library and Glendale – mostly flat and quiet roads with some rolling hills, but keeping it nice and easy! This ride is specifically designed for our beginner riders who are just starting their training. From Crystal Springs Picnic Area, we make our way through the park, past the zoo and Travel Town and onto the quiet streets of Burbank. We pass the studios and the Equestrian Center along Riverside, then head up a gentle climb to the Brand Library and through a few rolling hills in Glendale before returning to our starting point.

We will have plenty of ride leaders to guide you, and help you with any questions or concerns. As always, nobody is left behind!

Weather Note: the forecast stills shows some possible showers for Saturday morning. Bring your rain jackets just in case – we will still ride if it’s only sprinkling, but in case of heavy rain we will postpone the ride to Sunday morning.

Driving Direction: We will meet at the Lower Crystal Springs Picnic Area in Griffith Park – from Crystal Springs Drive, go down the hill past the Ranger Station, and keep to the right at the bottom of the hill at the bathroom building. Continue along the far side of the baseball field until the road turns to the left away from the field. We will be in that part of the parking lot, look for TRL’s in bright orange vests!”

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
