Welcome to the Marin Marauder’s Progressive Spring Fling Sunday Rides. The Spring Fling Progressive rides are designed to get you ready for the epic BIG ride in June. We start off with smaller rides and build each week until you are riding over 100 miles a day and climbing like a pro. If you take part in this series you will most certainly be ready for ALC 2024. Not only are the rides epic, but the scenery and the people are too. We are a warm and welcoming group of cyclist of all ages and shapes. All AIDS/LifeCycle official training rides are an inclusive and safe space welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace.

This ride in the series takes us almost ‘coast to coast’ riding out to Point Reyes and finishing with a circuit of China Camp, capturing various parts of previous rides in the series. The ride leaves from Hal Brown Park and heads out through Fairfax and over White hill to our first rest stop at Pump Espresso Bar. We travel on a gentle downhill through the prettiest part of Sir Francis Drake Blvd, and then along the Cross Marin Trail through Samuel P Taylor Park, over Olema Hill, and taking the Bear Valley detour, arrive in Point Reyes for some food and rest. Heading east, we pass by the Nicasio Reservoir, and after taking a brief water stop at the Marin Cheese factory continue into Novato and Tags Deli. From there we will head back to San Rafael via China Camp and having a final rest stop at Andy’s Market before returning to Hal Brown.

The route is at:https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42363033/

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win! And remember, safety is critical. We will be following all bicycling laws and regulations as well as COVID regulations.!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP so we have an idea of who’s coming. Have questions? Contact Ken and Temo at marinmarauders@gmail.com

REQUIRED ITEMS: bike, helmet, water bottle(s), tire changing tools, and a mask.

Parking: The rangers have politely asked us to NOT park directly in front of the park. Rather park further down Bon Air Road or on the opposite side of the street from the Park. By doing so, we will give greater access to the park by other patrons
