The Marin Marauders is an AIDS Lifecycle training group based in Marin County, offering training rides to prepare cyclists for the AIDS Lifecycle 2019. If you live in Marin, this group is perfect for you. If you live in San Francisco, avoid the fog and crowds of the Golden Gate Bridge, and join the group that starts in beautiful and sunny (mostly!) Marin. We meet at the park opposite Marin General Hospital on Bon Air Road in Greenbrae, and ride on Sunday. The series (from January to May) will start off slow and easy – and each week we add on a few miles and learn a few new techniques. All AIDS/LifeCycle official training rides are an inclusive and safe space welcoming ANY and ALL, regardless of skill level or cycling pace.

The nineteenth ride in our series repeats an earlier ride taking us over familiar territory out to Fairfax, and over Whites Hill to Lagunitas, our first stop of the day. Continuing west, we take the Samuel P Taylor bike path, then tackle the Olema Hill (the easy way) and after a picturesque detour arrive at Point Reyes, where we will enjoy the a rest stop at the Bovine Bakery or Cowgirl Creamery (your choice!).Leaving Point Reyes we head around the top side of the Nicasio Reservour, and head to the Marin Cheese Factory. A right at Novato Boulevard takes us on a glorious nine mile (mostly) downhill, to a third rest stop at  Tagiafierri’s Deli. Heading south, we’ll return via three sections of bike path (with an optional stop at the Panera Bread for something cheesy), back to Hal Brown.

All skill levels are welcome! If any ride is too much, we will work with you on making sure you have alternatives to the entire route. You will have a great bike ride. That’s a win!

Reach out with any of your questions or concerns. You really can do this.
