If you want to know what Day One of AIDS/LifeCycle is like, this ride will give you a good idea! Starting at Balboa Park (used to be Lou’s home on Hawley), we traverse inland via Adams, going north on Murphy Canyon to Kearny Villa, up Pomerado, skirting the south end of Escondido and descending Del Dios (Lake Hodges). We play around in the north part of RSF, heading west towards the coast, popping out at Solana Beach (Lomas Santa Fe). We get some coast action, skipping Torrey, but getting that dose of the 56 bikeway up Black Mountain. South on Black Mountain to Miramar, over to University City and down the Rose Canyon Bike Path to Mission Bay, around the east side of the bay to Old Town, up Presidio, then through Hillcrest on the way back to the park statue.
