Beginning February 1, 2022, the City and County of San Francisco is implementing a revised definition of “full vaccination,” including the requirement of a booster for those individuals that are eligible. Further, to attend indoor “mega-events” (yes, we are a mega event!) the booster must be administered no less than 7 days in advance of attendance. For NorCal Expo, this cutoff date is February 4, 2022.
Eligibility for boosters is based on the type of vaccination that was originally administered.
For Pfizer or Moderna, booster eligibility is after 5 months. If you completed your original series prior to September 4, 2021, you are required to have a booster.
For Johnson & Johnson, booster eligibility is after 2 months. If you received your Johnson & Johnson vaccine prior to December 4, 2021, you are required to have a booster.
